Artists

 

Working with a select group of emerging contemporary artists from the UK, USA and France. All are professional practitioners with proven track records. Media include: painting, photography, printmaking, drawing, sculpture and media. Represented artists are: Emily Andersen, Thomas Brummett, Michael Cardinali, Chris King, Mia Fernandes, Marcus McAllister, Kimo Minton and Alex Tzavaras.

Mumford promotes artists with exhibitions, articles and other outlets and collaborates with artists for public projects and installations.

We are delighted to announce that Mia Fernandes‘ three-dimensional wall-based installation piece “Wish” (above) from 2005 has been accepted for a public art collection in London. Full details will be announced shortly, so keep an eye out for news on the website blog – presenting news, exhibitions, events and articles (subscribe here). The monumental work is comprised of 1,001 unique porcelain birds and will be installed in Spring 2012.

The project was originally supported by the Arts Council of England and the Philadelphia Clay Studio. Original drawings were produced in China, and the birds were created in Philadelphia. View the piece here.
